Description
Cyclone separator is a device used to separate powder particles from the incoming air stream inside a conical cylinder, using the principle of centrifugal acceleration, the air stream at high speeds is injected into the inlet pipe, which is tangentially placed on the body of the cyclone. The shape of the cone drives the high-speed air stream to rotate, thus creating a vortex inside the conical cylinder. Larger particles within the airstream are pushed outward toward the wall of the tornado, where the rotating air pull and resulting gravitational forces cause them to fall down the sides of the tornado to an outlet at the base of the tornado. At the same time, smaller and lighter particles are captured within the center of the snail-like air stream and drawn in or discharged through a port at the top of the cyclone.
